As the oldest of three kids, Matt Ballek likes to think his parents got it right the first time.

Matt was raised in sunny Hoffman Estates where he perfected the art of playing video games and playing the perfect big brother role. He attended Immanuel Lutheran School in Palatine, from kindergarten through 8th grade. It was here that Matt learned how to make people laugh (both on and off the basketball court), and by the time he graduated 8th grade, realized he should probably stop playing basketball.

Matt earned the rank of Eagle Scout, the highest rank in scouting, his freshman year in high school. Matt can still tie over 20 different types of knots, but usually doesn't know what direction he is facing. Once finished with the Boy Scouts, Matt used the extra free time to not only play video games, but also attend high school. By Sophomore year, Matt had found a love for drawing, photography, computers, and singing. It remains to be an odd combination. Senior year, Matt sang the national anthem in front of his entire class at his graduation ceremony, and still had his last name mispronounced when he received his diploma.

After high school Matt performed comedy and worked his way through college(s). He now works as a Search Engine Optimizer, creates humorous videos, maintains multiple blogs, and generally spends too much time on the computer.

Matt is honored to celebrate his wedding with such amazing family and friends, and can't wait to see everyone together in June.
